FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Product Specs

How heavy is the 1Vane?

Each vane weighs 24–26 grains. Minor variation is due to color pigments.
Within a package, individual vanes are highly consistent—typically within ±0.2 grains.

Sizing & Fit

I run Victory RIP TKO (300 spine), with or without a wrap. Which size should I use?

  • With a wrap: Standard works well
  • Without a wrap: Micro is preferred

Micro vanes will stretch to fit. If using rubbing alcohol as a lubricant (especially with wraps), Micro is the better choice.

Rival X shafts — Micro or Standard?

Use Standard size, with or without a wrap.

Will 1Vane fit a 4mm shaft?

Yes. Use the Micro size, especially if running a wrap.
Be sure to secure it with double-sided tape or a small drop of glue to prevent movement.

I shoot Altra 204 arrows. What size should I order?

Use the Micro size for 204 shafts.

Will these fit Easton 5.0 shafts?

Both sizes can work:

  • Standard: Easier install, recommended for most users
  • Micro: Very tight fit; can stretch using rubbing alcohol

If you’re using a wrap, go with Standard.
If unsure, Standard is the safest and easiest option.

Installation

Are these tension-fit only, or do they require adhesive?

1Vane is not purely tension-fit. We recommend:

  • Double-sided Scotch tape (preferred)
  • Or a small drop of glue

Without adhesive, the vane may shift over time with repeated impacts.

Installation videos are available on our YouTube channel.

Performance

How do they perform with a whisker biscuit?

1Vane performs well with both:

  • Standard whisker biscuit
  • New V-style biscuit

With a standard biscuit, expect approximately 5–6 fps slower speeds compared to traditional vanes.

How do they compare to Blazer vanes?

1Vane provides:

  • Comparable stabilization
  • 3–4× faster spin rate, improving forgiveness

Trade-off:

  • Slight reduction in downrange speed

The increased spin helps correct inconsistencies, especially in less-than-perfect setups.

Are 1Vanes more accurate than traditional fletching?

It depends on your setup:

  • Well-tuned bow: Comparable accuracy to traditional vanes
  • Imperfect tune or windy conditions: Often tighter groupings

In these situations, 1Vane’s higher spin rate can stabilize erratic flight—keeping arrows grouped even when flight isn’t perfect.

Real-world testing (including high-volume shooting and machine testing) shows performance at least equal to traditional vanes, with the added benefit of eliminating the need for traditional fletching.

Quick Recommendation Guide

  • Small shafts (4mm / 204): Micro
  • Mid-size shafts (5.0): Standard (recommended)
  • With wraps: Standard (generally easier)
  • Want tighter fit: Micro (use alcohol for install)
